Kammanahalli News & Events

Deepa has something to say:
1st June

I am Deepa, Auxilium Navajeevana Kammanahalli. I am studying the IInd PUC. I am 17 years old. I am brought up by Navajeevana Sisters. I would like to share my story and life experiences.

When I was small, we were together with my father, mother, elder brother and sister. Mother was sickly and father took to drinks. My mother was working as a maid servant and father as a mason at constructions. Whatever my father works and earns, he finishes off with drinks and comes home troubles mother and us. When I was in 3rd STD and just 9 years old I lost my mother. She had a kidney failure and she died. The family for whom my mother was working took care of us and the aunty brought me and my sister to Navajeevana, Chamarajpet.

Uma my elder sister too joined in the school staying at Kammanahalli and completed her PUC. She passed with good marks. She was sent to Nirmaljyothi, a Technical School at Bannerghatta. She did one year course at Nirmaljyothi and at present working in an office earns a good salary. My brother too works as a mason. My father is away from the responsibility of looking after us and bringing us up. Even now he is addicted to alcohol and lies any where even near roadside. We have lost all hopes having him as a loving father.

As for me and for my sister, the Navajeevana has given us new life. They are, our father, mother, everything. We are educated, given a good formation, making us to stand on our own, all these because of our good sisters of Navajeevana. We are ever grateful to them. The values they have given us hold well for our life. May you are rewarded amply dear Sisters. Like me and my Sister many more may enjoy their goodness, care and love. We pray God to bless you all dear Sisters.
